When you think about the saying, "Walking by Faith", is it the definition of your life, it mine.
2 Corinthians 5:7 For we walk by faith, not by sight.
Prior to my Faith in the Lord, I walked by my own will, my own desires and my own opinion. I loved adventure then and I love adventure now. Until I came to Trust the Lord, I did not really have the courage to venture out on an adventure...and my life sense 1981 has been anything but boring, normal or predictable, it has been an adventure. ![](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjiXEgc2KxqDr-QRZnlFTnaY-4qLTJGK_hmgYNiAFMtBueqNc8ADaObY-KhqvsQIgw-fl0pBscJUyCfeEhSzUSV5nDWt0r_ug_IoH5iEi_VYS1pW5c4qDl2QMFCK5s2zHF5XHgU6Yqj8T4/s200/FullSizeR.jpg)
On that warm summer night driving down the 405 from Costa Mesa to Long Beach, I surrendered my life to Jesus. I started my journey of walking by Faith.. Not an easy road but full of excitement and consistent change.
I am fast approaching my 64th birthday and can hardly believe it. 64!?!?! Really?
But I must say, in my 60's, I have had such a great time. There have been days where I was not real sure what the next day would bring, where I might lay my head, or how I was going to pay for a cup of coffee. And yet, the Lord says, "I know the plans I have for you.. and it is good!" Does my life look like anyone else's, NO! But it is my life.
In the past 2 years I have lived in California, Arizona and Utah with the intension of settling down in Oregon along the northern coast. I drove 40K miles in a old 1998 320 Mercedes with no heat, no air, no radio, and often
As I settle into the Oregon coast I continue to walk by Faith. I have worked at a Resort in Newport Or, did Timeshare sales in Seaside and currently
running the dinning rooms at a Christian Conference Center in the heart of Cannon Beach, a sweet and small coastal resort town.
I continue to walk by Faith, taking it a step at a time... I have a cute beach cottage a block from the beach, I even bought a car with a radio that works, windows that work, Air and Heat! Woot Woot!
I have yet to totally settle in but I certainly am on the way. I am on my way to making a home here in Oregon... or so I think...
