Leave your Tunes home!!! and say, Hello!

I just got in from my walk down along the beach... When I walk along the beach I just love the sounds of the oceans... I see a handsome man, I would like to say hello, but with his ITUNES going...not possible. I was at a traffic signal waiting for the walk sign to turn green, started a conversation with a young woman... OPPS!! She did not hear me, she has her ITUNES on.. I just can not figure this out...??? Yes, confused am I!!! We are at the beach...a wonderful place to be... Why not just leave those tunes at home and get in-tune to the oceans rhythm... It is music to my ears...It could be to yours as well.

Everything that was Old is New again!

This saying, "Everything that was Old is New again" was a saying an artist friend of mine use to say back in the 80's. I believe that to be true. In the early 80's I fell into painting on fabric. With my sewing and design background I created an line of all original resort wear. I created the patterns, cut, painted and sewed them up. I then went out and sold them. I got so busy at one point I had 5 home seamstresses and 3 sales reps with one gal helping in the office while I stayed busy cutting and painted. I love what I did even tho it was difficult and challenging but another saying, "If you do what you love you will never work another day". For me, that was true. I loved what I did and I did it 24/7 12-15 hours a day. This is NOT mine.. This was the trend in the late 80's Towards the end of the 80's the glitzy revolution hit and my simple pretty paintings were taking a back seat to that..... I just was not going there. I d

2020 was a year...

Yes, 2020 is a year that will be in history for a very long time. So much happened and so many things changed. For some this was a devastating year, or should I say, for most. For me as I was on staff at a non-profit organization, my quarantine time was 6+ weeks of no pay but it was not a time to be bored. In 2020 I started to practice my drawing of which I am not that great at. I took a 100 page blank journal and drew every morning prior to work and every evening when I got home. I would pull up Google images and try to draw them and I would practice by watching TV. My idea is if I could get the dimensions and expressions down drawing faces, then dimensions would not be so hard on other subjects. When I would get tired of the learning process, I would go back to practicing on flowers. To my surprise, both subjects were getting better and better. 100 pages in 40 days and at that point, I started to illustrate flowers on 8.5 x 11 " card stock with a fine felt pen. By t
